Freemasons Cultural Center
Meet with friends and family in the Freemasons Cultural Center to enjoy a concert, show or movie; pick up a paintbrush; or give shuffleboard a try. The center comprises the Brossman Ballroom, Deike Auditorium, Masonic Wellness Center, Lodge Dining Room, Masonic Lodge, child care center, museum displays, art studio/gallery, recreation areas, Three Loaves Café, Visitors Center and management offices. The child care center provides quality services for children and intergenerational programs for all ages.

Grand Lodge Hall
The centrally located Grand Lodge Hall encompasses a majestic restaurant, assembly room, lounges, post office, recreation center, glass fusion studio, ceramics room, solarium, billiards/TV lounge, library and the Village Gift Shoppe.

Buchanan Clubhouse
A one-stop shop, the clubhouse features a restaurant and café, assembly room, branch bank, Clubhouse Market, mail room, hair salon, creative arts room, library, resident lounge and offices. You can choose from a variety of retirement living rental and entrance fee plans. Rental plan options include studio, deluxe studio, deluxe suite, one-bedroom, one-bedroom deluxe and two-bedroom apartments. Home Care

Receive personal services and care in the comfort of your home, whether you need 24-hour care after returning home from the hospital or Masonic Health Care Center, or need a companion while your spouse is running errands.
Request services daily or hourly, on a regular or temporary basis, or combined with use of the Adult Daily Living Center (see the following page).

Masonic Village’s Home Care and Hospice Services are available for Masonic Village residents and local community members.

Hospice is a special way of caring for patients with a life-limiting illness in the familiar surroundings of home. Services focus on the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of patients while providing support for loved ones. An individualized plan of care is developed for each patient with their caregivers, primary care physician, hospice interdisciplinary group and hospice medical director.

Services include:

  • Specially trained nurses
  • Certified hospice aides
  • Pain control and symptom management
  • Hospice medical director trained in palliative care
  • Non-pharmaceutical interventions such as massage, Healing Touch, pet therapy, music therapy and aromatherapy
  • Dietary counseling

  • Medical social work services
  • Volunteer respite care for caregivers
  • Spiritual support by inter-faith chaplains
  • Bereavement support

Masonic Village’s  Transitional Care Unit is available for Masonic Village residents and local community members.

Physician and nurse practitioner services are available through Lancaster General Health’s Geriatrics Specialists at Sycamore Square, located in the adjacent Sycamore Square Marketplace.

The Adult Daily Living Center on campus is ideal for individuals with functional, physical, social or cognitive impairments who need structure and support during the day, but prefer to remain living in their home. Services include nutritious meals and recreational and educational opportunities. The center is open for Masonic Village residents and community members.

For specialized care after a hospitalization, Masonic Village’s professional staff, a full array of medical treatments, state-of-the-art therapy equipment and newly renovated accommodations will help you on your road to recovery. Our goal is to return you to your home on or off-campus as soon as possible. Short-term rehabilitation can help you recover from:

  • Orthopedic conditions – hip fracture, total joint replacement, amputation
  • Strokes
  • Cardiac events – congestive heart failure, heart attack, coronary artery bypass grafting
  • Respiratory conditions
  • Diabetes complications
  • Infections
  • Bariatric care

From the day you arrive, treatment is intensive. Under a physician’s direction, a team of physical, occupational, speech and recreational therapists; nurses; care managers; and social workers complete a thorough evaluation. The team works with you to devise a personalized program based on your needs and goals.

Receive assistance with daily living in your suite within the Freemasons Building. Explore your hobbies and interests, and enjoy entertainment, parties, holiday celebrations, gardening, creative arts, dances, music therapy, spiritual services, wellness programs, companion pets and more.

Suites feature attractive furnishings, and you may fill your home with personal mementos and accessories.
Shuttles provide transportation around campus and for monthly outings and trips to shopping centers. Transportation to off-campus appointments is available for an additional charge.

  • Three meals daily
  • Weekly housekeeping services
  • All utilities (except telephone and cable)
  • On-campus shuttle transportation (for those able to travel without assistance)

Around-the-clock nursing care within the neighborhoods of the newly renovated Masonic Health Care Center offers you peace of mind so you can enjoy your life to the fullest. Each neighborhood features its own recreation area, spacious kitchen and dining area, pantry, shower room, family room and audio/visual equipment.

Personalize your home with photographs and other items to make it your own. Enjoy entertainment, parties, holiday celebrations, gardening, creative arts, dances, music therapy, spiritual services, wellness programs, companion pets and much more.

Loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias receive personalized care in three neighborhoods tailored to maintain each individual’s dignity and respect within a secure environment.

The two Lafayette neighborhoods are divided into higher and lower functioning areas so staff can target programs to meet the needs of each resident in a specific stage of dementia. Both neighborhoods include a recreation area, spacious kitchen and dining area, pantry, family room, shower room and audio/visual equipment. Outdoor courtyards enhance therapeutic recreation and sensory stimulation and inspire memories.

The Garden Path neighborhood provides careful, loving attention for those with end-stage dementia requiring more extensive to total assistance.

The Masonic Health Care Center is Medicare- and Medicaid-approved.

Generous donations enable Masonic Village to provide services to most eligible individuals regardless of your financial means. You’ll need to maintain your eligibility for Medicaid and other third-party reimbursement to cover the costs for your services. Our staff will help you apply for all available financial assistance. You’ll receive funds monthly which can be deposited into a personal care account for safekeeping.

7 Things You Need to Know

(Applies to Retirement Living)

  1. Anyone age 60 and older may apply. For couples, one person needs to be age 60 and the other at least age 55. Anyone age 55 and older may sign up for the priority waiting list. For additional requirements, please contact the Sales & Marketing Office.
  2. Moves average approximately three months, and Masonic Village has various resources to assist you.
  3. We know Fido and Kitty are part of your family, so bring up to two pets into your new home. We’ll provide specific guidelines based on your preferred living option.
  4. Masonic Village has a designated parking area for your RV/motor home or boat at no additional charge, so you can keep exploring.
  5. Residents who are able to ride without assistance may use our shuttle service for transportation throughout the campus and local community. We also offer transportation to off-campus appointments for a nominal charge.
  6. Masonic Village provides support to most eligible individuals who may no longer be able to afford their services at some point in the future for reasons beyond their control. Our staff can provide specific guidelines.
  7. All residents receive preferred access to the Masonic Health Care Center on a fee-for-service basis depending on specific medical condition(s).
